Scope and Objectives
Nowadays, given the pressure on preservation of natural resource, avoidance of landfill and limitation of material transportation, recycling concrete into concrete is no more an option, but an obligation.

The aim of this seminar is to gather the academic and professional communities in order to foster research, knowledge and implementation for helping our modern societies to meet this essential challenge.

The workshop will consist in invited talks given by :

  • [Francesco di Maio] (TU Delft) : "Treatment of recycled aggregates"
  • [Jorge de Brito] (Technical University of Lisbon) : "Properties of recycled concrete"
  • [Jianzhuang Xiao] (Tongji University) : "Durability of recycled concrete. Concrete recycling in China"
  • [Gian-Andrea Blengini] (Politecnico di Torino/JRC) : "Life-cycle analysis and concrete recycling "
  • [Horacio Colina] (ATILH) : "Partners, programme, first results of the French national project Recybéton"
  • [Rafael Bodet] (UNPG) : "Standards and regulations - Present status in France vs, Europe and other countries"
  • [Paul Lum] (Lafarge Canada) : "Feedback from recent sites using RAC"
  • [Emmanuel Garcia] (Lafarge France) : "The first Recybéton experimental site at Chaponost - Rhône, France"
